Depuis
Illulisat, nous n’avons pas trouvé de connection Internet (ou qui ne marchait
pas) donc pas de publication possible, c’est pas grave on va essayer de se
rattraper!
Nous avons
passé 4 jours à Ummannaq avant de traverser la Baie de Baffin pour le Canada.
Une escale extraordinaire, surtout grâce la rencontre de Pierre, un artiste
francais qui vit là bas depuis 15 ans. Il nous a fait découvrir la région en
nous emmenant à la pêche à la truite dans les lacs, fait visiter son atelier où
il travaillle avec les enfants Innuits, emmener à la maison du Père Noël, qui
vient de Ummannaq pour les Danois. Nous avons attendu là bas la fonte des
glaces à Pond Inlet au Canada. Magnifique endroit, fjord rempli d’icebergs,
montagnes immenses, nature à perte de vue, un endroit très spécial. Nous avons
quitté Ummanaq pour faire la plein d’eau dans un fjord à côté, directement de
la chute d’eau jusqu’au réservoir du bateau et direction le Canada.

Illulisat, therefor I ll try to catch up with articles now.
We spend 4 days in Ummannaq before crossing
Baffin Bay for Canada. Beautiful area, very special especially thanks to the
meeting with Pierre, french artist who has lived there for 15 years. He brought
us fishing, visiting his work shop where he is teaching art to Unuits kids,
walked with us to Santa House in the other side of the bay. The area is amazing
and the weather is very stable and sunny. We waited there for the ice to melt
in Pond Inlet, our next stop in Canada. Before living we managed to fill up our
water tanks from the montain, pulling a hose straight from the waterfall to the
tank.
